A Walk Down Memory Lane.

Today I literally took a walk down memory lane! About 4 years ago before Andy and I bought our first home We rented a beautiful home from Andy's brother in Lehi. He really helped us out while Andy was trying to finish up his nursing program at Westminster. At the time we just had Ella and things were really tight. It was hard because we were renting this nice home in a very nice neighborhood. Yet, we were broke and trying to keep up with the Jones's so to speak. Don't get me wrong, I loved the house and was grateful for it. It was just a weird time in our life. While I was walking down the Jordan River Park Way with my BFF Cicily. I was thinking about how much I have grown up. I thought back then, that having a fancy car, beautiful home, nice clothes and cool stuff was the way to my heart and to my happiness. I now live in a modest, much older home in West Valley. My neighborhood isn't the greatest but its the relationships I have made and the spirituality I have found in this "home" that have made me happy. You see, its all smoke and mirrors. The materialistic stuff is a quick fix. I have found that true happiness is reached through your heart and spirit. I don't need all the fancy stuff to be happy. All though, I do miss the smell of a new home. LOL

This is the Jordan River Park way behind the house its near the Thanksgiving Point Golf course. It's So Pretty!

This is my BUDDY Cicily! I love her. She lives near me on the West Side. One street away to be exact. She is another reason why I am so grateful for where I call home.

Stairway To Heaven.

Sam and Jadie invited us to go hiking up Mill Creek Canyon. We drove all the way up to the top and headed up to this reservoir called Dog Lake. It was absolutely gorgeous. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. It was green, plush and filled with tall Aspens. Which by the way are my favorite! We didn't quite make it to the very top because Rowan's little legs could only handle so much but we got at least half way and it was so worth it. I feel so much peace in my soul when I am Surrounded by nature. It feels so good to get away from the day to day stress of life.

Gwen LOVE'S the outdoors! She had a huge smile on her face the whole time.

Sam was so sweet and either held Rowan's hand or carried him the whole time.
These tiny yellow flower's were every where! They make me smile.

Mila was on cloud nine and had so much fun with her friends, Kora and Rivers.

Don't Mine If I Do!

We decided to take a nice Sunday drive and while we were driving, Andy asked me if I had ever been to the Kennecott Copper Mine? I was like, "NO LETS GO!" So off we went. It was so cool. A sight to behold actually. My great grandfather worked in the copper mines and he passed away in the mine when he was about 50 years old, so I never had the chance to meet him. I am so happy I finally got to see this amazing place.

This tire is HUGE! You really get an idea of how big these trucks are.
Ella and Rowan are some tough kiddo's. LOL

I thought this was just awesome! The 2002 Olympic medals were made from the Gold, Silver and Bronze donated from the mine.

A Room To Be Inspired By.

I have always wanted a craft room. Growing up my mom was always making and creating things. She is a very talented artist and was such an inspiring mom. She was always helping us with our school presentations, valentine boxes and anything and everything that was a visual project. It always turned out amazing. I even remember teachers being in awe. My mom always taught us that we could be individuals and no matter what you create or aspire to be it was beautiful because well, it was YOU!
I
I wanted my children to have a space where they could create and exercise their imagination. So here it is!

Summer, Summer, Summer Time!

We have a Seven Peaks season pass and try to go to the water park at least once a week.
 Safety first!
Gwen LOVES the water. She likes to be pushed around in her little baby boat. She gets so excited and splashes the water with her tiny hands and then laughs. It's so adorable
 It's all about the hat!

My kids are little fish! They could live in the water. I was the same way as a kid. I remember going to St. George with my Grandpa during summer break and my brother and I would swim in the condo pool for hours on end. In fact, when I think of my child hood it is one of my first memories.
